LAS VEGAS — Terence Crawford will defend his WBO welterweight championship Saturday night against former two-time champion “Showtime” Shawn Porter at Michelob ULTRA Arena.
The welterweight showdown will have significant implications for both fighters as Crawford and Porter are each facing a must-win situation.

Crawford (37-0, 28 KOs) is widely recognized as one of the best fighters in the world, but the former undisputed junior welterweight champion is missing a marquee name on his resume. A victory over Porter would solidify his place among the best and put him in position to challenge Errol Spence Jr. or Yordenis Ugas in an effort to become undisputed in a second weight class.
FIGHT PURSES: How much money will Crawford, Porter make?
Porter (31-3-1, 17 KOs) may not have Crawford’s record, but the quality of his opponents is much higher. Porter has faced the likes of Spence, Ugas, Adrien Broner, Keith Thurman and Kell Brook. Because he relies on pressure and aggression to break down his opponents, Porter will almost certainly force Crawford into an exciting fight.
