Culture

Film, music, television and the famous people attached to them.

Culture takes film, television, music and the people attached to them — releases, casting, award nights, obituaries and the interviews that give a performer their own words. The desk stays with what was made and what it cost to make, rather than with rumour about who is dating whom.

Celebrity reports carry the same rule as the rest of the archive: ages, contracts, box-office figures and job titles are those of the publication date. Where a claim came from a court filing or a studio statement, the report says which, so a reader can go to that document instead of trusting the summary.

The desk holds 24 reports filed between October 26, 2023 and November 23, 2023. Newest sits first, and the date under a headline is the date it was published.

A report belongs to one desk, and the address it was published at does not change afterwards: renaming a section does not move a page, so a link saved years ago still opens the same report. Where a story touches two subjects it stays in the desk it was filed to, and the same page is also reachable from the writer it belongs to.

The order on this page is by date, not by how much traffic a report draws, and long pieces are listed on the same terms as short ones. If a fact in one of them is wrong, the newsroom address takes corrections: the fix is written onto the report itself, with a note saying what changed, rather than published somewhere else.

This is page 2 of 2 in Culture, ordered newest first: page 1 holds the most recent filings on this desk and the last page the oldest.
